
Laneway Design
The Piedimonte family are proud to share their new laneway design.
The following design principles have guided the careful re-design of the existing laneway:
public access to a laneway is retained
pedestrian safety is improved
impacts to local traffic movements are minimised
noise and light impacts to adjacent properties are reduced

Location does not interfere with heritage or active frontages.
Location allows loading to have minimum possible acoustic impact to adjoining residents.
New street trees and landscape treatment to Scotchmer Street.
Reduced congestion at pedestrian access points.
Eastern entry
New public plaza and improved pedestrianized environment.
Passive surveillance to public realm from adjacent supermarket.
The location of the supermarket allows for diverse uses of the adjacent public plaza.
Level access from tram stop into retail environment.
Improved activation at street level.
